NTPC Renewable Energy Limited (NTPC REL), a subsidiary of NTPC Green Energy Limited, has invited bids for the Land and Power Evacuation Package for a 240 MW ISTS-connected Solar PV Project with Battery Energy Storage in Rajasthan. The project will be developed near NTPC’s existing 240 MW Devikot Solar Project, and the bidding process follows domestic competitive bidding procedures.
Scope of Work
Bidders are required to arrange government or private land, ensuring a minimum lease period of 29 years and 11 months. Approximately 5 acres per megawatt is needed, with government land not exceeding 10% of the total area. Responsibilities also include constructing approach roads, performing topographic surveys, and ensuring land suitability for tracker-based mounting systems. Additionally, bidders must fence the project area, manage land leases, and handle ownership transitions during the lease period.
The power evacuation scope includes designing and constructing AIS pooling substations with 220kV/33kV transformers and switchgear, along with civil works for control rooms and buildings. A single-circuit EHV transmission line will be built to connect the project to the NGEL Devikot Solar Project’s 220kV switchyard. Bidders must also install a common power plant controller, a telemetry system, and conduct a grid compliance study. The awarded contractor will be responsible for three years of operation and maintenance after commissioning.
