Growatt has introduced the NEXA 2000 all-in-one solution, upgrading its previous flagship, the NOAH 2000 battery. This upgraded system integrates both energy storage and inverter functions within a single compact unit, enhancing flexibility, efficiency and ease of installation for residential solar applications. Optimised for balcony solar set-ups, the NEXA 2000 features four maximum power point trackers, allowing it to accommodate varying balcony orientations.
With a 20 A string current and compatibility with 650 W high-power solar modules, the system supports a total input capacity of 2,600 W. By utilising third-generation Gallium Nitride technology, it reportedly achieves high efficiency. Additionally, the unit includes an off-grid port for powering essential loads, making it well suited for remote and outdoor applications.
The NEXA 2000 incorporates a time-of-use optimisation function, which helps in reducing electricity costs. This enables users to charge from the grid during off-peak hours and discharge stored energy when electricity rates are higher. The system offers multiple operational modes tailored to different energy needs. In load first mode, solar power is prioritised for household consumption, while battery first mode enables simultaneous charging from both solar panels and the grid to accelerate battery replenishment. Smart self-consumption mode dynamically adjusts energy storage and discharge based on real-time power demand.
The NEXA 2000 supports modular expansion by stacking additional NEXA 2000 battery units to increase total system storage to 8 kWh. The system features an IP66-rated waterproof enclosure and reportedly operates efficiently in extreme temperatures. The NEXA 2000 is backed by a 10-year extended warranty. The system is equipped with a high quality LiFePO4 battery, ensuring a lifespan of over 15 years.
